Donald & Alexander is pseudo-tie company composed of two designs. One for high-end packaging and gifting, and the other as a more sustainable solution for a product package. The latter would be used for general consumerism. Both include instructions on how to tie a tie, as well as a hanger.

The prominent difference between the two results is the following. The high-end version, is a box which includes a wooden hanger with an engraving of the logo. The sustainable solution was composed of a flexible but durable plastic. It has perforations on the front of the package, enabling the consumer to punch out an individual tie hanger out from which the tie was initially stored. The more complex packaging was designed for gift giving and for special holiday promotion. The sustainable package was designed for environmental, and cost efficient considerations.
